Steven Svoboda is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Carr & Ferrell LLP. Mr. Svoboda specializes in intellectual property law matters including patent preparation, prosecution, preparation of patent opinions, litigation and licensing.
Mr. Svoboda has extensive experience in several technological areas including computer software and architecture, networking technologies, e-commerce and Internet applications, video signal processing, client server systems, digital, analog, and integrated circuits, memory and peripheral devices and biotechnology.
Prior to practicing patent law, Mr. Svoboda enjoyed a career as a public interest lawyer. Additionally, Mr. Svoboda worked for the Physics Department of the University of California at Berkeley, and in design engineering in the aerospace industry.
Mr. Svoboda is a tournament-level chess player and is nationally ranked as an expert (the ranking below Master). He is married to a pediatrician and has two children. Additionally, Mr. Svoboda speaks and writes fluently in Spanish. |
